A small, discreet button clipped anywhere on her outfit, or held in her pocket on the walk home.
3. Her contacts are alerted.

Her chosen contacts instantly get an SOS alert with her location.
4. Help is on the way.
4. Help is on the way.
They call 911 with her location and head to her as fast as they can.
The goal is to get one, for free, to each woman across Canada and the US. No smartphone? You'll get a loud personal alarm instead. The SOS button works when a phone is nearby and charged. It's a fast way to get help, not a replacement for 911.
"Not all men?" Prove it.

If you'd spend $50 on a first date without thinking, you can help keep women safe. Every donation helps put an SOS alert button in a woman's hand. Then post "I sent one" and tag three friends to prove it too.

✅ 1. Launch. Waitlist and fundraising are open.
⬜ 2. Testing. Ordering sample buttons and testing each model at least 600 times.
⬜ 3. First order. Once funded and a button passes testing. More funds available, the more bargaining power with suppliers, the more buttons distributed.

Every city needs one person to make it happen: find a pickup spot like a library or community centre, receive the batch, and set up a sign. It's a few hours, not a job. Interested? Answer "Yes" to the organizer question when you join the waitlist.

Her SOS is a community-run, not-for-profit project. No one is paid from donations, including the founder, Matthew Gallant-Grow. Every dollar goes to buttons, alarms, shipping, pickup materials, platform fees and small running costs. Her SOS isn't a registered charity yet, so donations aren't tax-deductible.
Every donation helps put a button in a woman's hand. Every dollar in and out is logged in a public ledger, and rows are never edited or deleted.
Got an alert? Here's what to do
Got an alert? Here's what to do
Call 911 right away and give the location from the alert.
Don't call her phone first. It could alert the attacker.
If you're close, go, but let police handle any confrontation.
Then let her other emergency contacts know.
Stay with her and believe her.
Let her decide what happens next. Don't push her to report or not report.
Offer to go with her for medical care. Some care and evidence collection are time-sensitive.
Help her find support, like a local sexual assault centre.

During:
Trust your instincts. Yell, fight, run, or stay still. Whatever you do to get through it is the right choice.
Freezing is normal. Your body may react on its own. That is never your fault.
If you can, move toward light and people, make noise, and call 911 yourself.
Help is coming. Your contacts have your location.
After:
It is not your fault. Nothing you did or didn't do caused this.
Get somewhere safe and let your people stay with you.
Consider medical care soon, even if you're unsure. Some care and evidence collection are time-sensitive, and you can decide about reporting later.
You don't have to decide anything tonight. A local sexual assault centre can help, confidentially, whenever you're ready.
